In addition to grantmaking, the Foundation wanted to build capacity among local consultants who provide technical assistance and support to nonprofit organizations. Five Georgia-based consultants (pictured below) were trained on TCC group’s Four Core Capacity Model and provide technical assistance to the EmpowerHealth Cohorts One and Two grantees during the capacity building and peer learning workshops.

Two of the consultants – Jennifer Ballentine of Highland Nonprofit Consulting and Jackie Sherman of the Jackie Sherman Group, Inc – developed a tip sheet for choosing and working with consultants.
