Symone McClain is the director of grants management for Healthcare Georgia Foundation. Symone joined the Foundation in November 2004, and is responsible for managing the Foundation's grantmaking program. In addition, she is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality control for the Foundation's grantmaking processes and internal database systems.

Prior to joining Healthcare Georgia Foundation, Symone served as the community relations manager with the Nordson Corporation Foundation. In this role, Symone managed the foundation's grantmaking process along with the Employee Volunteer Program and all community relations activities in both Georgia and Alabama. Earlier in Symone's career, she held positions with Baldwin-Wallace College and The Cleveland Foundation in Ohio.

Symone is a member of the Grants Manager Network and serves on The Advisory Committee of The Foundation Center/Atlanta.

Symone received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Human Services from Baldwin-Wallace College. She also received her MBA and Human Resource Graduate Certificate from the Keller Graduate School of Management - DeVry University.
