Director of Communications
Andrea Berry joined Healthcare Georgia Foundation in June 2016 and serves as the Director of Communications. Andrea oversees the Foundation’s strategic marketing, communications, and public relations efforts for its key internal and external audiences. She is responsible for promoting awareness of the Foundation’s impact through its grantmaking initiatives through online and print marketing, social media management, and other special projects.
“I wanted to work with the Foundation because the investments they are making in Georgia communities are making a real difference for individuals and families.
I wanted to help communicate that impact.”
Prior to joining the Foundation, Andrea worked with MedShare International and several other nonprofit organizations in the metropolitan Atlanta area, including the Carter Center, the Georgia Division of Public Health, Family Connection, and the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. A two-time Emmy award-winning journalist, Andrea has also worked in public and commercial radio and television as an on-air host, reporter, writer, and producer in New York City, Phoenix, Dallas, and Atlanta. Her work as a journalist has also been recognized with awards from the Georgia School Boards Association, the National Black Programming Consortium, the Texas Medical Association, the National Association of Newsletter Publishers, and the Georgia Bar Association.
Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College. She is an active volunteer in her home community of Decatur.
