Capacity Building

EmpowerHealth is Healthcare Georgia Foundation's Capacity Building Grant Program. It is a two-year pilot program which replaces the Foundation's General Operating Grant Program. Supporting capacity building allows the Foundation to support health nonprofit organizations and strengthen the way they provide services and collaborate so they are better able to sustain high-quality programs, achieve long-term performance, and obtain better results.

The Foundation is partnering with TCC Group (tccgrp.com), a national firm that provides strategic counsel to nonprofit, philanthropic, corporate and governmental clients, to help organizations identify and prioritize organizational areas that would benefit most from additional resource support. TCC Group’s evidence-based organizational assessment instrument, the Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) will be used throughout the application process by nonprofits who desire to enhance their ability to accurately identify organizational areas that most need strengthening. Completing the CCAT and participating in subsequent capacity building activities will involve a full commitment and engagement from the organization’s Board and staff.

If you have questions about this program, please contact Andrea Kellum, Program Officer, at akellum@healthcaregeorgia.org, phone: (404) 653-0990. All future communications regarding EmpowerHealth (e.g. links to webinars, CCAT and full online application) will be sent to organizations that submitted a Letter of Intent.
