Session Description:  Fundraising Realities for Non-Profit Organizations will lead participants through 10 key steps to achieving the most effective fundraising plan for the current economic challenges we all face today.

Session Objectives:
Participants will learn to:

  1. Determine the most efficient and effective way to build relationships with and gain financial support from donors and potential donors
  2. Increase understanding of budgeting and financial management as it relates to fund development
  3. Engage staff and board members that will need to participate in the process
  4. Research and identify donors and potential donors
  5. Increase understanding of fund development as it pertains to the organization's unique characteristics

Technology Requirements:
Participants registering for programs should have access to the following technology for best viewing and participation:

  • Personal computer with Macintosh or Windows with 512 MB of RAM
  • Broadband internet connection such as an office LAN, DSL, or cable modem
  • Phone next to personal computer (or speaker phone if multiple people are viewing)
  • Computer speakers (built-in or attached)
  • Latest version of Adobe Flash which can be downloaded for free at http://www.adobe.com
