Janette Blackburn serves as Director of Operations at Healthcare Georgia Foundation, and is a member of the executive leadership team at the Foundation.  She is responsible for the administration of operational policies and procedures and manages both administrative staff and vendors. Janette directs all Human Resource activities including recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, compensation and benefits.  She is also responsible for updating personnel policies, procedures and practices. Janette also assists with developing and overseeing the implementation of the Foundation’s strategic goals related to internal business operations.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2005, Janette worked in the Human Resources field at Emory Healthcare, Inc. and Wesley Woods Senior Living.  She is an active member of the Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill, Inc., and a currently serves on the Advisory board of Project Healthy Grandparents.  Janette has volunteered with several organizations including serving on the Parent’s Circle Leadership Committee at Atlanta Girls’ School and was recognized for many years of dedicated service to patient care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.   Janette is a graduate of Northwestern College with a B.A. degree in Biology and received her MBA from Augusta State University.  She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and holds a SHRM Certified Professional and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation.
