Building Capacity for Greater Impact Highlight Third Quarter Grant Awards
Atlanta, GA – December 01, 2016 - Healthcare Georgia Foundation announced today its third quarter grant awards totaling $585,000 that build the capacity of Georgia's health nonprofit organizations. For more than 15 years, the Foundation has invested in capacity building efforts to strengthen nonprofit organizations in ways that help them achieve better outcomes for underserved individuals and families.
"Improving performance matters," said Foundation President Gary D. Nelson, PhD. "It is our fundamental belief that high-performing organizations delivering effective programs and services will achieve better health outcomes for clients, consumers, and patients." In support of our commitment to capacity building, the Foundation is restructuring its grantmaking program in 2017 to further support the capabilities of Georgia nonprofits to develop, deliver, and sustain high-impact health programs and services.
Recipients of the Foundation's most recent grant awards include:

| Support to plan, conduct, and analyze the capital needs and plans among rural health facilities in order to inform grants and program-related investments by Healthcare Georgia Foundation. | ||

| Support for the establishment of a statewide program of coaches who will provide technical support to communities participating in The Two Georgias Initiative. | ||
| Georgia Tech Research Corporation | 110,000 | |
| Support for the development and deployment of a comprehensive measurement approach for improving community health. | ||
| TCC Group | 145,000 | |
| Support to inform the development of a two-year pilot capacity building program for health nonprofit organizations throughout Georgia. | ||
| Urban Advisors | 80,000 | |
| Support to plan, conduct, and report the results of an environmental scan of existing social impact investments in rural Georgia. | ||
