Session Description:

Mobile devices and health-related digital applications are increasing in popularity and usefulness in clinical settings. Evidence-based practice (EBP) — the process of applying rigorous research evidence to clinical practice in conjunction with clinical knowledge and patient preferences — is a major force in both healthcare education and clinical settings. By leveraging mobile technology solutions, you can improve both the quality and delivery of healthcare. This program will provide you with an overview of the emerging mobile device options, applications, and resources.

Session Objectives:

Session participants will:

  1. Be introduced to a variety of mobile web and application based Evidence-based Practice sites.
  2. Develop the ability to distinguish between web-based mobile sites and applications and when and where to use each.
  3. Become familiar with a variety of mobile devices and how to access mobile applications and web-based mobile sites from each device.
