Session Description:
This session will provide allied health and other healthcare providers with the tools to clearly and efficiently help patients succeed with diabetes management. The content will enable the learner to drive home key diabetes management messages detailing both complex and data driven aspects of patient self care actions for success.

Session Objectives:

  1. Explain two communication techniques that promote patient acceptance and understanding related to insulin therapy.
  2. Review the Guiding Principles. This will allow for evaluation of personal skills and provide options for advancement of personal skills in directing patients toward insulin therapy.

Continuing Education Information: 
Three Rivers AHEC is an approved provider of continuing education by the Georgia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Application has been made for 1 contact hour of continuing education to the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) for credits for registered dietitians.
