Janette Blackburn, Director of Operations

Janette Blackburn joined the Foundation in July 2005, and serves as the director of operations at the Foundation. Janette directs and implements the Foundation’s administrative activities, which are dedicated to ensuring the achievement of its mission, including: human resources, contracts, management of programs, and office operations. While working with the president, Janette provides support to the Board of Directors and acts as a staff liaison to relevant Board Committees. An integral member of the Foundation’s grantmaking team, she represents an important liaison between the Foundation and its partner organizations.

Prior to joining Healthcare Georgia Foundation, Janette served as a benefits specialist at Emory Healthcare, Inc. Janette also worked as a human resources coordinator for Wesley Woods Senior Living, an affiliate of Emory Healthcare. As a volunteer at the University of Iowa Hospitals Patient Care Units, Janette was recognized for her many years of dedicated service to the patient care mission.

Janette received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. She also received her MBA from Augusta State University and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources, PHR.
