Healthcare Georgia Foundation announces the retirement of Mike Sweeney, CFO effective August 31, 2021. During his 20 years of service, Mike provided the Foundation with exemplary financial stewardship across our investment portfolio, financial operations and budgeting, technology and information systems, and grantmaking. As we have all witnessed, Mike enjoys deep respect among his peers, colleagues, and the Foundation’s broad network of consultants, contractors, and advisors. Always modest when recognized, he is quick to attribute results to others. Few match the work ethic that Mike has consistently demonstrated over these many years.  Mike’s leadership is evident at so many levels; Mike has helped create a culture of excellence and unselfish giving that reminds us of our charitable roots and why we do what we do. We are certain that he is leaving the Foundation well prepared for the future.
