More Than A Grantmaker
Providing grant funds to our nonprofit health partners is an integral part of our work, but there are other tools and resources we use to advance our mission:
Advocacy, Research and Education: We recognize that evidence-based systems change and policies that have demonstrated track records help to address health equity and decrease health disparities.
Direct Charitable Activities: The Foundation manages and supports activities that include the Evaluation Research Center, the HealthTecdl distance learning program, and a bi-annual Connections conference to provide additional resources and technical support to nonprofit health organizations, our grantees and partner organizations.
Evaluation: The Foundation will apply research and evaluation to improve health outcomes for Georgians.
The Foundation produces and disseminates health information to inform the public, policymakers, philanthropic partners, and health advocates on our efforts to achieve healthy equity for all.
Convener: As an independent, private Foundation, we serve as a neutral convener by engaging strategic community and philanthropic partners to develop solutions to challenging health issues facing Georgians. As a learning organization, we are comitted to accountability and transparency through our Listen, Learn and Lead meetings to obtain feedback on the impact of our grantmaking in Georgia communities.
