Evaluation

Healthcare Georgia Foundation is committed to meaningful results that help gauge our progress in advancing the health of all Georgians. Evaluation gives our grantees and partners the information they need to improve their organizations and programs, ultimately benefitting the individuals, families and communities they serve.

Evaluation helps the Foundation:

• Focus and inform funding efforts
• Measure and improve program implementation
• Track advancement toward priority area outcomes

To determine whether we’re making strides toward our mission, the Foundation works with grantees to build sustained capacity in evaluation while measuring the most relevant outcomes of importance to the Foundation and grantees. This approach helps grantees successfully clarify goals, articulate strategies, and identify indicators of progress.

Evaluation starts with the grant application and review process so grantees begin their work with the final results in mind. Grantees report their progress bi-annually and submit a final summary of the accomplishments made throughout the grant period. 

Healthcare Georgia Foundation’s Evaluation Resource Center (ERC) (pictured below) offers evaluation tools and services tailored to help nonprofit health organizations achieve better outcomes. The ERC is directed and funded by Healthcare Georgia Foundation. 

ERC Partners

The Foundation recruits evaluation consultants and groups, known as ERC Partners, throughout Georgia to work with grantees and other health nonprofit organizations. ERC Partners submit statements of capabilities to the Foundation demonstrating capacity to work with health nonprofits. With over 15 ERC Partners throughout Georgia, the Foundation is better able to provide tailored services to those nonprofits looking for evaluation support.
