Save the Date: Healthcare Georgia Foundation will announce the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 2022 Maternal and Child Health Initiative on May 23, 2022. The Maternal and Child Health Initiative will seek applications that align with the Foundation’s maternal and child health policy and program priority areas (see https://www.healthcaregeorgia.org/maternal-and-child-health/).

Save the Date: Healthcare Georgia Foundation will announce the Notification of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the 2022 Direct Services Grant Program on June 8, 2022. In accordance with the Foundation’s strategic plan, the Direct Services Grant Program focuses on Preventing and Managing Chronic Diseases. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, chronic diseases are the leading causes of death and disability in the United States and are also the leading driver of healthcare costs. The Direct Services Grant Program will support programs that address some of the most common and costly chronic diseases that have proven evidence-based interventions, including:

  • Asthma
  • Cardiovascular disease (emphasis on heart disease and stroke)
  • Diabetes
