A Total of $320,000 in Funding Has Been Distributed Across Fifteen Organizations for Their Work in Providing Food Access, Housing, Childcare, and More
Atlanta, GA – July 1, 2020 –Healthcare Georgia Foundation has announced its distribution of COVID-19 crisis relief grants to fifteen nonprofit organizations across the state that support vulnerable populations and their basic human needs. This latest round of funding from the Foundation will help enable these providers to continue their equitable work for Georgia’s residents amid the ongoing global pandemic.
Included among the grant recipients are organizations who, in their intermediary role, will redistribute their funding to organizations within their communities to further increase the impact of the relief effort.
Foundation President Dr. Gary Nelson commented on the COVID-19 crisis relief grant awards, “Each of these nonprofit human service organizations play a critical role in serving Georgia communities in times of crisis. This global pandemic has only increased the demand for services directed to basic human needs.” Dr. Nelson continued, “The Foundation is pleased to offer our financial and technical support and applaud these organizations serving individuals, families, and communities most deeply affected by COVID-19.”
