Seema Csukas, MD, PhD, FAAP
Seema Csukas, MD, PhD, FAAP, is the Vice President, Chief Medical Officer for the Georgia market at CareSource, a multi-state company that provides member-centric health care coverage. She serves as a liaison to the state, health partners and community organizations regarding initiatives that improve health and well-being for members. Previously, Dr. Csukas was with the Georgia Department of Public Health addressing maternal and child health at the local, state, and national levels. Prior to that, she worked as a primary care pediatrician at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Before to coming to Atlanta, Dr. Csukas was on faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Csukas earned her bachelor’s degree from Emory University. She received her M.D. and Ph.D. from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves on several community workgroups and committees addressing health in Georgia.
