Healthcare Georgia Foundation Announces Third Quarter 2020 Grant Recipients
The Awards Will Fund the Incoming Third Cohort of EmpowerHealth Grantees and Technical Assistance Organizations Supporting The Two Georgias Initiative
Atlanta, GA – September 28, 2020 – Healthcare Georgia Foundation has announced ten new grant awards totaling $854,000 in support of its Third Cohort of EmpowerHealth capacity building program participants, as well as technical assistance continuation grants to organizations providing support to The Two Georgias Initiative.
The goal of EmpowerHealth is to help health nonprofits strengthen their organizational capacity and to improve the ability of both staff and board members to operate at an optimal level to provide better results.
Foundation President Dr. Gary Nelson commented on the third quarter grant recipients, “We are delighted to welcome these eight outstanding organizations into our EmpowerHealth capacity building program, and look forward to their continued success as they grow their operations to serve Georgia’s residents as champions of health equity.” He continued, “In addition, the Foundation is pleased to carry on its successful partnership with the technical assistance providers for The Two Georgias Initiative; their continued support of rural health organizations has been most instrumental, and we are eager to continue this impactful relationship.”
